Cooper & Gorfer

Cooper & Gorfer utgörs av konstnärsduon Sarah Cooper (USA, 1974) and Nina Gorfer (Österrike, 1979). Den baserar sig på berättelser av kvinnor duon mött och samarbetat med och utforskar ämnen som minne, migration, förskjutning och skapande av identitet. Deras konstverk har genom åren brett ställts ut hos hyllade museum och institutioner. Between These Folded Walls, Utopia är den första titel de ger ut hos Bokförlaget Max Ström och utkommer på engelska.

Cooper & Gorfer comprises the artists Sarah Cooper (US, 1974) and Nina Gorfer (Austria, 1979). Based on the stories and lives of the women they meet and collaborated with, Cooper & Gorfer explore issues of memory, migration, dislocation, and the malleability of identity. Their artwork has been widely exhibited at highly acclaimed museum venues and institutions. Between These Folded Walls, Utopia is their first book with publishing house Max Ström.
